Memory of a Norman Château
The heart and soul of an 18th-c. family still inhabits this delightful château. The building, originally a manor house and important farm, underwent improvement work in the late 19th century: a floor was added along with wood balconies and a veranda (no longer existing today). The extensive stables also date back to this period. During WWII, the Château was occupied by the Germans, then by the Americans after the June 1944 landing. Fully restored in 1988 by Mr and Madame Dicker, the manor became a hotel-restaurant as part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group.
