The swimming pool is a good size and well-suited to the hotel's capacity, so there's always space to swim. The garden furniture is also high-quality and new. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the two rooms we used have separate toilets, which is certainly a French standard for a 5-star hotel. Parking is included, easily accessible, and convenient. That's why "Oh-la-la" is a French expression… An absolutely magnificent stay! From the welcome to the accommodation and amenities, not forgetting the food and the staff: everything was excellent. Special mention to Ambre, the bartender, who not only prepared superb house cocktails (the Botanist is my favorite), but also mastered the classics, with or without a touch of originality. Clean and beautifully maintained rooms in keeping with the manor's style, excellent beds, and powerful hot showers. Lovely grounds and swimming pool, tennis if you're so inclined. Beautiful restaurants with equally refined cuisine and, of course, an exceptional wine list. For us, this became our new home base for our adventures in Normandy and the D-Day landings. We will definitely be back!

On the day of our arrival, we had lunch in Port-en-Bessin – a pleasant walk. We highly recommend this hotel to couples and families! Breakfast was a real treat!

Our room wasn't in the main building, which suited us perfectly. The bed was a good size, the bathroom was a good size, and the room was suitable for two nights. We ate at the garden restaurant, and the food and service were first-class. The hotel is about 2 km from the harbor, which is a lively fishing port well worth a visit. We visited some of the D-Day memorial sites, which were very moving, especially Omaha Beach and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission in Bayeux. If word of this incredibly beautiful hotel/castle were out, I couldn't imagine anyone staying anywhere else to visit the D-Day landing sites. It's located just up the road from Port du Bassin, a charming fishing center with stunning views and plenty of restaurants to choose from. But the star attraction in this area is the château. The rooms are large, and the bathrooms are renovated and extremely comfortable. The grounds span approximately 10 to 15 acres (I'd guess), and the greenery, pool, tennis courts, and restaurant would make for an incredibly relaxing place to take a break from the action, so to speak, after a hectic European trip. The location is very strategic as it can serve as a hub for visiting the many nearby towns, such as Étretat, Mont-Michel, Honfleur, Caen, Bayeux, and the D-Day Landing Beaches. The estate-hotel is situated in the tranquil countryside; elegant with its timeless décor, yet not stuffy, surrounded by beautiful farmland and rolling hills. It is 3 minutes from the picturesque little seaside town of Port-en-Bessin and 10 minutes from Bayeau. The gardens are impressively clean with foliage and a variety of trees that must be over a hundred years old. You will enjoy sitting outside in one of their outdoor spaces, sipping a glass of wine, and taking in the spectacular scenery. The rooms are large, very clean, and each decorated differently and with impeccable taste. The staff is phenomenal. They make you feel like you're staying as a guest in their own home.
