Le Petit Jardin, bistronomic restaurant in Normandy

Le Petit Jardin is the bistronomic restaurant located in the old orangery of the castle, near the swimming pool at the bottom of the garden.

It is open for lunch and dinner from Thursday to Monday. The restaurant opened in 2019 with the aim of serving bistro cuisine always sourced from permaculture products and short circuits.

From the garden to your plate

At Petit Jardin we are vegetable lovers and we offer them in all their forms, even in desserts with candied fennel for example or mushroom caramel.

The evening menu changes regularly depending on the harvest and the lunch menu every week, more specifically on Friday lunchtime. Customers have the choice between a starter and a main course or a main course and a dessert for €19 or a starter, a main course and a dessert for €24. This formula is available every lunchtime, except Sundays and public holidays.

They always offer vegetarian plates, fish of the day and meat accompanied by vegetables of the moment.

On the evening menu of the bistro restaurant, we find the vegetables of the moment with always a few vegetarian and sometimes vegan options.

Aperitifs to share are available for lunch and dinner, with fish rillettes, pickled vegetables from the vegetable garden or the famous spring rolls with goat's cheese and honey from the castle's hives.

With this bistro cuisine, the dining room teams suggest organic or natural wines, seasonal cocktails with or without alcohol or a variety of iced teas.

In summer, on Sunday lunchtime, the menu is transformed and offers dishes of meat, fish and vegetables grilled on the barbecue.

Refined cuisine in the heart of a green setting

Guests can sit inside under the glass roof, near a magnificent bar decorated with plants, on rattan chairs with a view of the swimming pool*. Or outside on the terrace, in a corner of the garden surrounded by old rose bushes and century-old trees.

We invite customers to go for a walk in the garden of Château la Chenevière, to discover the permaculture vegetable garden or the brand new flower garden.

The restaurant welcomes groups and can also be privatized for events such as birthdays, weddings or simply a small party with friends!
